Fly Fishing - Englewood

The Net Minder

Hello!
Like you I have found the sport of fly-fishing to be challenging and a whole lot of fun. However, one thing over the years I have not enjoyed is having a net on my back attached to a ring that allows the net to fall into my face whenever I bend over.

On a less productive day (there are no bad days) in March of 2006, I became particularly irritated after several negative encounters with my net. I determined that there must be a way to keep my net accessible without having it in my face. Several months and prototypes later the Net Minder was developed.

The Net Minder is a set of powerful magnetic discs that provide a second attachment to your vest (or other article of clothing) to stabilize your net. It keeps the net on your back but easily detaches when you need to use it. When you are finished with the net you then reattach it to the upper ring and let go. The Net Minder automatically “finds” itself and the net is again secured.

The Net Minder requires no pins, glue or Velcro so there is no damage to your vest, waders, or jacket. Two discs attach to the net (and are usually left in place) and two are placed on whatever you want the net to be attached to. They are easily changed and repositioned.

I believe you will find the Net Minder to be very effective and something that makes a day of fishing even more enjoyable. You will no longer have to deal with the irritation of having an “unminded “ net!
